The mission of Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church is to be a beacon of Christ's love, fostering a community of faith, hope, and compassion, that transforms lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We aim to uphold our congregational history and tradition, through our faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation. We consider ourselves to be one big family with a similar set of faith values – giving strong impressions of our faith to each other and our visitors. As a congregation, our approach to salvation is one of nurturing and a gradual growth in faith, focusing on local missions and causes close to the hearts and minds of our congregation.
We enjoy a traditional liturgical worship style including singing hymns, Scripture-based sermons, and celebrating Holy Communion. Our pastor and congregation work together to make our worship services a meaningful way to experience God.
At Pigeon Creek, we strive to worship God with joy and reverence, nurture spiritual growth through discipleship, serve our neighbors with love and humility, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all and one another
BIBLE
STUDY
Meets every Tuesday at 6 pm in the church library, September through May, to study the Bible together with fellow members. All are welcome to join for fellowship, discussion, and spiritual growth.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month during the church service, from September through May. All are welcome to join in this time of worship and fellowship together.

SHAWL
This is a wonderful group of people who share the joy of knitting, sewing, and crocheting. They meet at the church on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:30 AM. All are welcome to attend, no experience necessary!
OUR HISTORY
The Pigeon Creek Church was founded by Rev. John McMillan on August 24, 1775. It is the oldest church west of the Monongahela River. The current church is the fourth church building for this congregation. The first was made of logs in 1773. They also held services in the groves beside the log cabin. In 1778, a second church was built using round logs. In 1797, the third church was built of stone. Then, in 1829, the fourth church was built of brick. This is the church we still use today. The foundation stone for this church came from the stone of the third check. Over the years, many renovations and upgrades have been made.
The cemetery is among the oldest, if not the very oldest, in this section. The first burials were about 1777. Besides the ones appropriately designated, there were nearly four hundred unmarked and unknown graves in it.
In 2025, Pigeon Creek is celebrating their 250th anniversary.
